Job Description

Supervising State Surveyor - Texas Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Supervising State Surveyor to support skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) throughout the state of Texas. Employed by Wound Healing Care Specialist, a mobile wound care company. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional with strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility operations, regulatory compliance, and state survey processes. The selected candidate must be comfortable traveling extensively throughout Texas and visiting facilities across the state as needed. Responsibilities Conduct and/or oversee state survey and compliance-related activities at skilled nursing facilities. Evaluate facility operations, policies, documentation, and clinical practices for compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Provide guidance and recommendations to facility leadership regarding regulatory compliance and areas requiring improvement. Assist facilities in preparing for state surveys and addressing identified deficiencies. Review clinical and operational practices to ensure adherence to applicable requirements. Communicate effectively with facility administrators, nursing leadership, and healthcare staff. Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to survey and compliance activities. Travel throughout the state of Texas to support facilities as needed. Qualifications Previous professional experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is required. Experience with state surveys, regulatory compliance, or healthcare quality assurance is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of skilled nursing facility regulations, policies, and clinical standards. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple facilities. Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the state of Texas . Compensation $700 per diem daily/ Part time Travel throughout Texas is required. Additional details regarding travel and scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.
