Senior Thermal Test Technician Job Description As a Senior Thermal Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing machine and control issues, collaborating with suppliers for parts and samples, and training production employees on various processes and equipment. You will also perform tests, inspections, and evaluations, create programming applications, and conduct failure analyses. Your contributions will be vital in resolving manufacturability issues and creating detailed test reports independently. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair problems with machines or controls. Collaborate with suppliers to obtain samples, order parts, and explore cost-saving ideas. Train production employees on products, processes, procedures, and equipment. Perform tests, inspections, and evaluations of products and processes based on defined procedures and standards. Create procedures and standards for testing activities. Develop and program applications using appropriate software. Conduct failure analyses of production line and field products. Contribute to resolving manufacturability issues with the production floor and Manufacturing Engineering for new products. Independently create test reports. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems. Experience in maintenance, construction, HVAC, and troubleshooting. Skills in industrial sewing and test equipment operation. Competency in inspection, schematic interpretation, repair, calibration, and prototype creation. Experience with data logging or lab test instrumentation. Strong grasp of basic electrical theory. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
