Labcorp is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join our Quality Assurance Team located in Baltimore, MD!

Work Schedule:
Days/ Hours:

40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:
  • Quality Engineering intern will work on the projects related to maintenance and improvement of risk management files, and engineering change controls.
  • Intern will review the past complaints and utilize statistical tools to analyze the historical data.
  • project to categorize complaints by risk levels for continuous improvement.
  • Assist quality leads to identify gaps and improve the processes as identified.
  • Assist supplier quality engineer to identify gaps and maintain supplier files as needed.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance, CLIA Laboratory Quality or Quality Engineering projects as needed.
  • Participate in Post-Market Surveillance data analysis.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Life Sciences or Engineering.
Additional Job Standards:
  • Interest in Quality Assurance and Medical Devices.
  • Eagerness to learn US, EU medical device regulations and QMS standards.
  • Interested in learning quality engineering tools and apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting.
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Able to use persuasive, logical arguments based on data.
  • Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly.
  • Assist people in finding creative solutions which comply with standards and regulation or other constraints.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and colleagues in a professional setting.
  • Proficient on basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office tools

About the

Team:

The PGDx Quality Assurance Team ensures the suitability, safety and effectiveness of next generation sequencing (NGS) medical devices that are developed, manufactured and distributed from our Baltimore, MD site. We provide expertise and leadership in the areas of corrective and preventive action, manufacturing process controls, inventory management, process assurance, quality system requirements and process monitoring. This position will work with Development, Operations, Manufacturing, and other Quality functional areas to ensure work is completed in accordance with PGDx procedures.

        Compensation:

        Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

          Eligibility:

          Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.
