Entry Level Diesel and Assembly Mechanic - Full Time

Family owned since 1971, Townline Equipment has an opening in our Service Department for an Entry Level Diesel and Assembly Mechanic at our Pittsford, VT store. This is a full-time mechanic and assembly position that offers a great wage, an excellent benefit package, a great work environment and the opportunity for growth. Duties include Building and assembling a wide variety of Kubota tractors, construction equipment, utility vehicles, mowing equipment and hay tools Preparing and detailing new and used equipment for sale Setting up and testing a wide range of consumer, agricultural and construction implements Other duties as required by management (i.e. company vehicle maintenance, loading/unloading equipment, assisting with service and repairs on equipment) Servicing and detailing new and used equipment for sale If you have a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and want to learn new things, this is the job for you!

Requirements:

Strong mechanical skills Attention to detail Ability to read and follow assembly instructions Willing to gain knowledge of major mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems found in the type of diesel equipment we sell is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of computer systems & other relevant electronics Ability to work in a team environment Good communication skills Experience as an auto technician or heavy truck mechanic would work well with this position Care about your work and have a can-do attitude Able to drive the equipment in and out of the shop. This can be taught if needed. Must be able to lift 50lbs Pay is dependent on experience
