Job Description

Pillowfight Coffee is a coffee shop that opened on Nov. 8, 2024 in the heart of Kenwood in Sonoma County, California. We are a single location family run coffee shop that has been rapidly evolving over the past year. We strive to constantly improve our operations, our menu, and everything about the shop. We are looking for experienced baristas / coffee shop operators to continue building on our excellent team of employees who are passionate about great coffee and great food, and excited to grow a local small business! This is for
WEEKENDS ONLY
— must be available Saturday and Sunday. These are the highest traffic days. All team members cross-train for all stations — must be comfortable making lattes and prepping breakfast sandwiches and greeting customers. Starting wage is $18.00/hour plus tips, with an increase to $18.50 after barista training is complete. Must be passionate about coffee / coffee shops. You must like to frequent adorable, warm, happy, locally run coffee shops and sit down to some good music, a perfectly prepared beverage, and a warm pastry.
Positions to be filled include:
Food prep/bake Register Barista Afternoon bake/close out All front-of-house team members will be required to: Greet customers in a friendly manner (at least one person to do so immediately upon customer entering), and thank them as they make transactions and leave Assist guests with pastry and beverage selections Use POS system (Toast) Prep food Prep coffee drinks and other beverages Maintain a clean, organized work space at all times Routine cleaning and organizing throughout the day Follow all opening and closing tasks described for their station
Requirements:
Positive, friendly attitude with excellent communication skills Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week Reliability. Shifts are 4-8 hours long with most starting between 6-7am Reliable transportation to Kenwood Follow all company policies and procedures for all food and beverage items Complete Food Handlers Certification upon hire Ability to speak English Customer service experience 1+ year of experience as a third-wave barista POS experience (Toast is a plus) Must be available Saturday and Sunday Flexible as schedules may change
