Job Description

Multi-Site Manufacturing Support | General Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Cadence is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support general building and equipment maintenance across two manufacturing locations. This role is responsible for maintaining safe, functional, and efficient facility operations while assisting with basic equipment maintenance and repair as needed. This position is based primarily from the Watertown, CT site and requires frequent travel between the Watertown, CT and the Suffield, CT site (approximately one hour apart) using a company-provided vehicle. Candidates must have a valid driver s license, clean driving record, and the ability to travel regularly between locations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of independently managing maintenance priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general building and facilities maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across two manufacturing locations Travel regularly between sites using a company-provided vehicle to address maintenance needs and support operational continuity Perform routine inspections of facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns Troubleshoot and repair general facility systems including lighting, plumbing, doors, fixtures, HVAC support systems, and minor electrical/mechanical issues Assist with equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance tasks, and basic mechanical repairs as needed Coordinate with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to prioritize maintenance requests and minimize operational disruptions Perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep of interior and exterior facility areas Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and documentation of completed work Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements Assist with vendor coordination and contractor support when required Respond to urgent maintenance issues and support operational needs across both sites Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred 3+ years of facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or related hands-on maintenance experience preferred Valid driver s license required with a clean driving record (subject to driving record verification) Ability and willingness to travel frequently between two sites approximately one hour apart using a company vehicle Strong mechanical aptitude and general troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC support, and general facility repair practices Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilities Basic knowledge of production equipment maintenance and repair Experience with preventative maintenance systems or CMMS software OSHA safety training or related certifications What You ll Bring A proactive, hands-on approach to solving maintenance challenges Strong reliability and accountability with the ability to work independently Flexibility to support changing site needs and maintenance priorities A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence About Cadence Cadence is a leading contract manufacturer specializing in precision components and assemblies for the medical device and life sciences industries.
