Job Description

Robert B. Our, a division of Bay State Sewage, is a family-owned Septic System Service and Waste Disposal Company, with 20 subsidiaries under its umbrella. We have an opportunity for a full-time Field Service Pump Technician! This position works in the field, traveling to customer locations to provide service, maintenance, and installation/repair of pumps. Technical skills will be utilized to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customer's equipment functioning properly. You will not only ensure the equipment is installed and working properly, but also manage customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair and install electrical control panels and components in tanks. Perform pump troubleshoots for repair and installs. Maintain proper inventory stock in the company vehicle and stock room (parts/tool). Diagnose, repair and install grinder pumps. Perform replacement and repairs with floats in tight tanks. And other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A Class B drivers license is preferred. Must have a high school education or equivalent. Proven work experience as a field service technician. Basic electrical and plumbing troubleshooting/ repair knowledge experience. Mechanical ability. Ability to problem-solve. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Be able to read blue prints/schematics. Knowledge and use of power equipment and tools. Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with customers.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
