Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage core general ledger activities, produce accurate financial reporting, and support a disciplined month-end close process. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to financial accuracy, compliance, and operational insight through hands-on analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial reports to support accurate tracking of company performance.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a recurring basis and investigate discrepancies to maintain ledger integrity.
  • Complete bank reconciliations promptly and resolve outstanding items with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Calculate and process commission payments and other performance-based compensation in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, update depreciation schedules, and ensure supporting ledgers remain current.
  • Support month-end close activities by posting journal entries, preparing schedules, and analyzing variances.
  • Evaluate accounting data to identify errors, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Assemble financial packages and supporting documentation for banks, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Participate in inventory count activities and assist with audit-related requests while ensuring adherence to accounting policies, tax requirements, and internal controls.
