A growing manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Accountant to become a key member of its accounting team. This position goes beyond transactional accounting and is designed for someone who is comfortable owning significant portions of the month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting process.

You'll work closely with accounting leadership and operational teams to understand financial activity, identify variances, and help ensure the company's financial information is accurate and timely.

Own assigned areas of the monthly close processPrepare and review journal entriesPerform complex account reconciliationsMaintain and analyze balance sheet accountsPrepare monthly financial statements and management reportsAnalyze manufacturing expenses and operational variancesAssist with inventory and cost accounting activitiesReview accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other accounting schedulesInvestigate unusual fluctuations and transaction discrepanciesSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesPrepare financial information for management reviewAssist with annual audits and tax-related requestsMaintain strong internal controls and accounting proceduresIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processesPartner with operations, purchasing, and finance teamsAssist with special projects and accounting initiatives
