Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant Perform daily cash reconciliations and review positive pay exceptions. Prepare internal financial statements and journal entries. Record payroll journal entries and reconcile intercompany accounts. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules. Complete monthly bank reconciliations. Initiate ACH payments and bank transfers. Assist with financial and insurance audits. Prepare and file sales and use tax returns. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Partner cross-functionally with departments across multiple companies. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Preferred Qualifications of the Staff Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2–3+ years of accounting or finance experience. Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and general accounting processes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-company environment. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. QuickBooks experience is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. #
