Job Description
This is a Hybrid Position-Cincinnati, Ohio. We empower our partners to harness the compassionate energy of communities by providing cutting-edge technology support, cloud hosting, CRMs, accounting, and human resource management. Over the years, Upic Solutions has experienced remarkable growth, evolving into a pillar of support for more than 600 non-profit entities throughout the United States. Position Overview Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly results and comparisons to budgets. In addition, the Staff Accountant will identify key issues and process improvement opportunities alongside the Finance Manager. The Staff Accountant will support not only internal Upic financial processes, but also the financial processes of external clients. Responsibilities Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions for accuracy and completeness Assist with payroll processing and reporting and maintain up to date payroll information Maintain and record cost allocations Prepare reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts Assist with month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation, and preparation of journal entries Ensure data integrity and accuracy Assist in external and internal audit processes Ability to communicate effectively and concisely Desire to understand and improve financial reporting process Work on special assignments or other duties as assigned Desired SkillsExperience Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with at least 2 years of experience Proficient and knowledgeable about accounting functions including payroll, AP, AR, financial reporting and journal entries Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Office, accounting software programs (i.e., QuickBooks, or other fund account software) and payroll processes and procedures Proven time management skills to manage simultaneous projects to meet established timelines Ability to manage and maintain confidential information and practice discretion in all aspects of the job Excels at problem solving and multi-tasking, is organized, efficient and goal-oriented Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives Passion for Upic's mission
