Job Description

JMI Property Services is located in St. George, Utah and oversees the accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of real estate holding companies, related property management entities, and various other entities. We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants exposure to a multi-entity real estate portfolio and the chance to grow with an organization. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of real estate holding entities. Perform monthly close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for multiple entities. Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, trust accounts, and intercompany transactions in accordance with property management best practices. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes within the various accounting software used. Assist with chart of accounts maintenance and corporate accounting configuration across entities. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for entity owners and management. Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring for assigned properties/entities. Support annual tax preparation and CAM reconciliation processes as needed. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes as the portfolio grows. Collaborate with the Vice President of Finance on financial analysis and various projects.
What We're Looking For Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required, minimum qualification) Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
, real estate, or multi-entity accounting Experience with Intuit QuickBooks products accounting software Experience with Accounts Payable Automation Software Experience with trust accounting and/or construction accounting Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with the broader accounting and property management team.
Pay:
$57,500.00 - $76,500.00 per year
