Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a mission-driven nonprofit organization supporting the film and television music industry. This individual will serve as the operational lead for the accounting function, overseeing daily accounting activities, supervising staff, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation, leadership capability, and a passion for continuous improvement within a collaborative, hybrid work environment. Must-Haves 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance Experience with payroll and garnishment compliance Advanced Excel skills Experience working in an ERP or accounting system Ability to supervise, review, and approve accounting work with accuracy Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Plusses Supervisory or team lead experience CPA (active and current) Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite Background in film & television, unions, guilds, or fund administration Experience supporting audits and regulatory filings Day-to-Day Oversee daily accounting operations and transaction approvals Review and approve AP, journal entries, interfund transfers, and reconciliations Manage month-end and year-end close processes Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff Oversee distribution processing and garnishment compliance Support annual financial and investment audits Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations Drive process improvements and system enhancements Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation
