Duties Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial data integrity. Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect all financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Reconcile balance sheets and perform month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist in payroll processing and maintain payroll records in compliance with relevant regulations. Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget comparisons for management review. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with familiarity in double entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems. Strong understanding of accounting standards (GAAP) and financial concepts such as account reconciliation and ledger management. Experience with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately. Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable management. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience working within corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or public accounting environments is highly desirable.
