Job Description
Perform a variety of general accounting tasks, specific to area of accounts payable
Essential Duties:
- Assembles invoices to be completed for payment.
- Verifies all addresses and Federal ID numbers of vendors if available.
- Verifies all coding, reviews invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval,
- Checks vendor files for any previous payments.
- Maintains copies of invoices, or correspondence necessary for files.
- Research discrepancies
- Provide periodic reports and other records.
- Assist in bank reconciliation.
- Perform other general administrative accounting tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- 1-2 years of experience in related field
- Basic knowledge of cash management
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to read interpret general business information, procedures, regulations and reports
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with coworkers, including presenting information and responding to questions
