Job Description
Accounts Payable Clerk /
Cashier Duties:
- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval
- Prepare and process payments to vendors
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any invoicing or payment issues
- Assist with benefits administration, including processing employee expense reimbursements
- Provide support for technical accounting matters
- Assist with tax compliance, including gathering documentation for tax filings
- Support the corporate accounting team with various tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Familiarity with account reconciliation techniques
- Understanding of basic human resources processes and procedures
- Knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills.
