Accounts Payable Clerk Lake County Forest Preserve District - 4.0 Libertyville, IL Job Details Full-time $25.21 - $37.81 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Pension plan Life insurance Qualifications Driver's License Driving Associate's degree Full Job Description SUMMARY The Accounts Payable Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Responsible for accounts payable, including matching and processing invoices, working with purchase orders, weekly check runs, account reconciliations, vendor information maintenance, and 1099's. Reviews contractors payment requests to ensure compliance with prevailing wage rates. Tracks contractors pay requests and retention. Reviews and follows up on all outstanding checks that are stale dated. Ensures division compliance with District's Records Retention Policy. Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations. Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting. Performs lifting tasks up to 25 pounds.
EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree in accounting or finance. Three years' of accounts payable experience. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. Analytical skills necessary in order to process disbursement system. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.. Must possess valid driver's license.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Anticipated Hiring Range:
