Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise in various accounting software and systems will help support our organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and transaction coding using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Process payroll and handle payroll-related transactions with precision and confidentiality. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for management review. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies or errors promptly. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or comparable systems. Solid knowledge of GAAP, financial concepts, and standard accounting practices. Experience with payroll processing, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting. Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial report writing tools. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
