Tenure-Track Job Summary/Basic Function Join Our Team at Millersville University! The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Lombardo College of Business welcomes applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2027.About the position:
Responsibilities include teaching, advising students, scholarly or creative work, and department and university service. Actual assignments will depend upon department needs. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in accounting, finance, or both, depending on departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications. Candidates with expertise in either discipline or the ability to teach in both disciplines are encouraged to apply. Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications as well as aligned with the details contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Millersville University Promotion Statement . Minimum qualifications required to be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate include having an earned doctorate and a minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience (or its equivalent) and scholarship commensurate with this rank. A complete application comprises the following: A Cover Letter summarizing how the applicant's education and experience match the required qualifications of the position. A current Curriculum Vitae. A Teaching Philosophy that includes the applicant's commitment to inclusive and equitable learning and to working with diverse populations of students. A summary (2- 5 pages) of Scholarly and/or Creative Activity Plan outlining 3
- 5 year agenda involving undergraduate or graduate students.

EFFECTIVE TEACHING AND PERFORMANCE OF PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Tenure Track faculty are responsible for teaching introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in accounting and/or finance depending on departmental needs and the candidate's qualifications. Faculty are expected to hold regular office hours as well as be able to teach in a variety of delivery modalities. Candidates must be willing to participate in undergraduate- and graduate-level curricular activities including assisting in activities associated with maintaining program approval at the state and national levels.
