This vital role combines precise financial management with accurate project cost estimation, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a key contributor, you will handle a wide range of accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing detailed estimates for upcoming projects. Your expertise will support our commitment to financial integrity and operational excellence, enabling us to deliver high-quality services to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about accounting systems and financial accuracy to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation Process payroll efficiently while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable tax laws Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections Reconcile bank statements through detailed bank reconciliation procedures Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including budgeting, account analysis, and financial report writing Develop precise project estimates by analyzing costs, reviewing blueprints or project plans, and applying industry-standard estimating techniques Utilize spreadsheets for data analysis, budget tracking, and report generation Ensure adherence to accounting standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles for all transactions Conduct account reconciliation regularly to maintain accurate financial data within the general ledger Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Estimator with strong knowledge of accounting principles and systems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Proficiency in corporate accounting practices; experience with non-profit or public accounting is a plus Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent) for data management and reporting purposes Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management Knowledge of GAAP standards to ensure compliance in all financial activities Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously 10-key typing proficiency for quick data entry tasks Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and estimates Join us if you're eager to bring your accounting expertise into a role that values precision, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving.
