Job Description

Job Ad - Development Coordinator Join one of California's most dynamic and results-driven affordable housing development teams. What You'll Be Doing As a Development Coordinator at Chelsea Investment Corporation, will be responsible for providing basic assistance to Development Staff within the day-to-day management duties from acquisition through construction completion and permanent financing placement for the project(s) assigned. Additionally, your tasks will include, but not be limited to: Compiling detailed financing applications for various state and local funding programs, such as low-income housing tax credits and tax-exempt bonds Assisting with maintaining project timelines, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget Assisting Development Staff in securing the appropriate approvals, certifications, permits, etc., from city and other government agencies, as required Managing project documents including discretionary and non-discretionary approvals, agency releases/declarations/determinations, easements, covenants, etc. Assisting with application assembly and copying Assisting with mailings and scanning during financial closings Performing due diligence related to real estate acquisition Attending development meetings and prepare minutes Adding closing CD documents to server, and organizing, as needed What You'll Need to Perform the Role Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, public administration, community development, planning or a related field One (1) year of experience in a related industry such as real estate, tax, banking, finance or public administration, some knowledge of affordable or multi-family housing or real estate development Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill, and abilities have been attained. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) You'll also need the following attributes: Extremely organized with ingrained ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Keen attention to detail with focused adherence to strict deadlines and procedures Sound problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment High level of integrity and dependability, including handling sensitive and confidential information Teamwork mindset and temperament to work effectively with a diverse group of people Effective ability to communication clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing Genuine desire to work in the real estate development affordable housing industry Personal accountability and enthusiasm for achieving company goals What's in it for You Chelsea's people are at the core of everything we do. The pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting but may change based on education and experience. Final compensation is determined by various factors, such as education, training, experience, work location, required travel (if any), and external market conditions.
