Accounting Manager

Job Description

A great UHY client is seeking an Accounting Manager . The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience, solid Excel skills, and a strong foundation in journal entries and general accounting. The Accounting Manager role is an onsite position. This is a direct hire position. Accounting Manager Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and assigned general ledger functions. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Manage and support the month-end and year-end close processes. Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting policies and US GAAP. Analyze account balances, financial results, and variances and provide meaningful explanations. Support accounting related to inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations. Assist with percentage-of-completion accounting and project-related financial reporting as applicable. Maintain and strengthen accounting processes, controls, and procedures. Partner with operational and Finance teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial reporting. Utilize Excel to analyze financial data, prepare schedules, and support accounting and reporting activities. Support audits, reporting requirements, and other accounting initiatives. Learn new accounting processes and responsibilities as needed, with training available for qualified candidates. Support ERP-related processes and improvements; Epicor experience is helpful but not required. Perform other accounting duties and special projects as needed. Accounting Manager Requirements Progressive accounting experience with a strong background in manufacturing required. Strong understanding of general accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Solid Excel skills required, including the ability to analyze data and build supporting schedules. Experience with inventory and cost accounting strongly preferred. Construction or percentage-of-completion accounting experience is a plus, but not required. Epicor ERP experience is helpful but not required. Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles. CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply; the client is willing to provide training in areas where a strong candidate lacks direct experience. Ability to learn new accounting processes, systems, and technical areas quickly. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work onsite and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:
