Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Finance Technician at
DAYBREAK INC
is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in the preparation of financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial processes and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting. Support the finance team in managing accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies. Provide assistance during internal and external audits. Perform data entry and manage financial databases with precision. Identify discrepancies in financial records and recommend corrective actions. Assist in the development and implementation of financial procedures and policies.
Required Education:
Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role. Experience with financial reporting and data analysis. Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Previous experience working with accounting software and financial management systems.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
