Cranston, Rhode Island (will have the option to work hybrid after 6 months; can work from home 2 days out of 5)
Salary:
$103,293-$117,155 per year
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Full-time About the Opportunity We are hiring a Hospital Revenue Cycle Manager to support a state hospital in Cranston, Rhode Island. This is a direct hire/placement opportunity. This leadership role oversees billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and patient accounts for two state-operated hospitals. You will supervise eight staff members, improve revenue cycle performance, and partner with clinical and technology teams to implement a new hospital billing infrastructure. The position focuses on Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) reimbursement , with an emphasis on accurate claims, Medicare and Medicaid billing, regulatory compliance, and denial prevention. Key Responsibilities Oversee hospital revenue cycle operations, including billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, and collections. Supervise, coach, and evaluate an eight-person team supporting billing, coding, patient accounts, and administration. Develop and maintain billing policies, procedures, and internal controls. Manage reimbursement processes under the Long-Term Care Hospital Prospective Payment System (LTCH PPS). Monitor average length of stay and census information supporting reimbursement eligibility. Audit site-neutral versus full PPS admissions, including applicable ICU and ventilator criteria. Lead weekly "Triple-Check" meetings with Health Information Management, Case Management, and Nursing to validate documentation and

assignments. Improve charge capture and pricing accuracy for services such as respiratory therapy and complex wound care. Analyze claim denials, manage appeals, and implement corrective actions. Support compliance with CMS requirements, the 60-Day Overpayment Rule, and the False Claims Act. Partner with hospital leadership and IT on electronic health record implementation and billing workflow design. Analyze financial and operational performance and recommend improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. At least five years of hospital revenue cycle management experience. Experience in post-acute hospital billing. Demonstrated experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer billing. Proven supervisory and team leadership experience. Strong understanding of hospital reimbursement, CMS requirements, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to train staff, interpret complex financial information, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field. Experience in LTACH, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings. Experience supporting state-operated or public-sector hospitals. Advanced knowledge of

reimbursement methodologies. Experience with WellSky, Epic, Meditech, or Oracle Health. Experience managing patient financial assistance programs. HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification. #

$103,000.00 - $117,000.00 per year
