Job Description

The Swag is an acclaimed mountaintop luxury hideaway just steps from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Swag was honored to join Relais & Châteaux in 2020. Overview:
Manage payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while safeguarding all employee payroll records. To provide financial and month-end close support to the Director of Finance & Accounting and the Accounting team.
Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll using software Inova/UKG software, ensuring that payroll goes out in timely manner
  • Provide information to employees and managers/supervisors on payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit plans.
  • Compile tip and service charge data for payroll input
  • Secure and maintain all payroll files, records, and related documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare payroll reports for weekly reporting
  • Reconciling general ledgers, bank statements, and balance sheets
  • Analyzing financial data and managing employee or business expenses
  • Preparing financial statements for management and proprietors
  • Provide support to Director of Finance & Accounting and collaborate with the Accounting team
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-year Payroll and Accounting experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, QuickBooks, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Understanding of accounting rules and practices, such as the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to work independently and successfully complete projects with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Basic desk mobility, typing, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds and more with assistance.
Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently. Speak clearly and have an ability to hear. Clear vision for reading documents and computer screens. This list is not all inclusive.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
