Maintenance & Grounds Technician Peppertree Maggie Valley Resort is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance & Grounds Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with the general maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of our resort property and condominium units. We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. The exact schedule will be determined based on staffing needs and availability; however, weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout condominium units and common areas. Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other routine maintenance issues within the scope of the position. Respond to maintenance requests and help identify and resolve property issues in a timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance and routine property inspections. Maintain resort grounds, including mowing, trimming, cleanup, and other general landscaping duties. Assist with seasonal property needs, including leaf and snow removal as necessary. Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition. Work with management and other maintenance staff to prioritize and complete maintenance projects.

Qualifications:

Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, landscaping, or similar experience preferred. General knowledge of basic property repairs and maintenance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize assigned tasks. Weekend availability is required. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Ability to move, push, pull, and reposition furniture, appliances, equipment, and other heavy items, independently or with assistance when appropriate. Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and work on uneven terrain. Ability to perform indoor and outdoor maintenance and grounds work in varying weather conditions.

Schedule:

Part-time or full-time opportunities available. Day shift, generally between 9:00 AM and 4:00/5:00 PM. Weekend availability required. Exact schedule to be determined based on staffing needs.

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
