Location Downtown Full/Part Time Full-Time Exempt from Classified Service No Minimum Rate 57538.69 Min Pay Frequency Yearly Maximum Rate 97555.45 Max Pay Frequency Yearly Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience dealing with the public in real estate, insurance, or sales are required; or three years of advanced clerical experience to include one year with an agency involving the use of property records, tax documents, or similar legal instruments are required; or one year of code enforcement is required; or two years of investigative experience are required. Completion of coursework may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Recruitment Notes Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree. Additional related experience in administrative investigations, regulatory enforcement, collections, compliance, or a related field, including report writing, may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Possession of a valid Florida Driver License is required.
Description:
This is specialized field and office work involving the enforcement of Florida Statutes, Miami-Dade County ordinances, and Tax Collector policies and procedures relating to Local Business Tax requirements and other programs administered by the Office of the Tax Collector. Employees in this classification conduct field investigations and business inspections to identify businesses operating without the required Local Business Tax Receipt, verify business activities and information, establish new accounts, obtain compliance, and collect delinquent taxes, fees, penalties, and other amounts due.
