Recruitment Notes Miami-Dade County Communications, Information & Technology Department (CITD) is recruiting for a full-time IT Senior Computer Operator who will be assigned to the Operations Unit of the Enterprise Data Center Division. The Operations Unit provides seven days twenty-four-hour coverage, support, and availability of Miami-Dade County mainframes and distributed computer systems, including hardware, software, and its applications.Responsibilities include:
Mainframe console management, SolarWinds monitoring, Network monitoring, enterprise job scheduling, Operation of high-speed laser printers, operation of post processing equipment such as pressure sealers, and after-hours help desk. The work schedule for this position is from 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM and will require to work weekends, Holidays, and overtime. Unit works 24x7, due to operational necessity, work schedule can be changed to 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Miami-Dade County provides retirement benefits for eligible employees through the Florida Retirement System (FRS). Enrollment is automatic for full-time employees. As an FRS member, you must contribute 3% of your salary towards your retirement benefit, on a pre-tax basis (contributions are taken from your gross salary before Federal Withholding taxes are calculated). Miami-Dade County also contributes towards your retirement based on the employee classification.Benefits
