Must possess a Driver s License. Recruitment Notes Miami Dade County Communications, Information and Technology Department (CITD) is recruiting a full-time IT Computer Operator that will be assigned to the Operations Unit of the Enterprise Data Center Division. The Operations Unit provides seven days a week, 24-hour coverage, support, and availability of Miami-Dade County mainframes and mid-range computer systems, including hardware, software, and its applications.
Responsibilities include:
Operation of mainframe high speed cut sheet printers, operation of post processing equipment such as detachers and pressure sealers, distribute, pack, and deliver computer reports. Assist senior operations staff in z/OS console management and after-hours help desk. The work schedule for this position is from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM and will require working weekends, holidays, and overtime. Unit works 24x7, due to operational necessity, and work schedule can be changed to 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Miami-Dade County provides retirement benefits for eligible employees through the Florida Retirement System (FRS). Enrollment is automatic for full-time employees. As an FRS member, you must contribute 3% of your salary towards your retirement benefit, on a pre-tax basis (contributions are taken from your gross salary before Federal Withholding taxes are calculated). Miami-Dade County also contributes towards your retirement based on the employee classification.
