full-time Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, U.S. Tax Advisory to join a highly collaborative corporate tax organization. This individual will play a key role in providing strategic tax planning, transaction advisory, and compliance support across a large, complex organization with domestic and international operations. The successful candidate will partner with finance, legal, treasury, accounting, and business leaders to evaluate tax implications of strategic initiatives, support financial reporting, and help drive best practices across the tax function. Key Responsibilities Tax Advisory & Planning Provide strategic U.S. federal and state tax planning and advisory support for business initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, financing transactions, and new products. Analyze the tax consequences of domestic and inbound international transactions. Advise internal stakeholders on tax-efficient structures while balancing business objectives and risk. Monitor legislative developments and evaluate the impact of changing tax laws on the organization. Perform technical tax research and prepare memoranda supporting tax positions. Financial Reporting & Compliance Partner with the tax compliance team to ensure tax planning initiatives are accurately reflected in tax returns and income tax provisions. Support quarterly and annual income tax reporting. Assist with responses to federal, state, and local tax authorities. Collaborate with internal and external auditors on tax-related matters. Ensure tax positions are appropriately documented and supported. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build strong relationships with finance, accounting, legal, treasury, operations, and other corporate functions. Coordinate with international tax and transfer pricing teams on cross-border matters. Communicate complex tax concepts in a practical, business-oriented manner. Manage outside tax advisors and consultants, as needed. Risk Management Identify and assess tax risks associated with business initiatives, investments, contractual arrangements, and operational changes. Recommend practical solutions that align with corporate risk management objectives. Maintain compliance with internal controls, governance standards, and applicable tax regulations. Leadership Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing competing deadlines. Promote continuous process improvement within the tax organization. Mentor junior tax professionals and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture. Qualifications CPA required. Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting, or
J.D./LL.M.
in Tax, preferred. 8+ years of corporate tax experience within a Big Four/public accounting firm, law firm, or large multinational corporation. Strong background in U.S. federal and state income taxation. Experience advising on complex business transactions and corporate tax planning. Familiarity with inbound international tax structures is a plus. Experience with tax research platforms such as Checkpoint or Bloomberg Tax. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is preferred. Comfortable leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools and emerging technologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
