Job Description
We are partnering with a growing accounting and advisory organization in Greenville, SC seeking a Tax Services Manager to help lead and expand its tax services offering. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys the technical side of tax but is also excited by the opportunity to build, shape, and grow a service line . Rather than stepping into a large, established tax department, this individual will have the opportunity to take ownership of client tax needs, develop processes and best practices, and help shape how tax services integrate with the organization's broader accounting and advisory work. Essential Duties & Functions Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, including partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations. Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients regarding tax questions, planning opportunities, and compliance needs. Lead proactive tax planning throughout the year, including quarterly planning conversations and estimated tax strategies. Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations to clients. Help establish and refine processes, workflows, and best practices as the tax services offering continues to grow. Partner closely with accounting and advisory professionals to provide clients with a well-rounded view of their financial needs. Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws and communicate relevant impacts to clients. Contribute to the continued development and growth of the tax practice. Qualifications CPA required. 3+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally within public accounting or a client-service environment. Strong experience with individual and business tax returns. Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations and tax planning strategies. Ability to independently manage client relationships and communicate complex tax concepts clearly. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping build and improve processes.
