Together, we operate across hospitality, franchising, and CPG manufacturing with increasing complexity and scale. Position Summary We are seeking a Fractional Controller to provide senior-level accounting oversight, financial control, and close accountability across all entities. This role is responsible for ensuring the books are accurate, timely, compliant, and decision-ready , while working closely with an internal Senior Accountant and external CPA firm. This is a hands-on oversight role , not a CFO or strategic finance position. The Controller will review, correct, and enforce accounting standards, close discipline, and internal controls in a multi-entity, multi-location environment. Key Responsibilities Accounting Oversight & Close Ownership Own and oversee the monthly close process across all entities Review and approve financial statements prior to leadership distribution Ensure accuracy of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements Enforce close deadlines, checklists, and documentation standards Identify and correct accounting errors, misclassifications, and inconsistencies Supervision of Senior Accountant Review reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules prepared by Senior Accountant Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and edge cases Set expectations for accuracy, timelines, and documentation Serve as escalation point for accounting judgment calls Multi-Entity & Intercompany Accounting Oversee intercompany allocations, eliminations, and reconciliations Ensure proper accounting for franchise fees, royalties, brand funds, and reimbursements Validate manufacturing-to-corporate and wholesale transactions Maintain clean entity separation and audit-ready books Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting Oversight Review inventory accounting, COGS, and margin calculations Ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods Validate inventory adjustments and variance explanations Support cost accounting methodology consistency Compliance, Controls & Audit Support Oversee sales tax, excise tax, and multi-state compliance processes Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax filings and year-end close Ensure lender reporting accuracy and timeliness Strengthen internal controls and segregation of duties Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation Systems, Cleanup & Process Improvement Identify and correct structural issues in QuickBooks and related systems Guide historical cleanup projects where necessary Establish scalable accounting workflows and SOPs Reduce recurring close issues and rework
