Job Description
Davidson United Methodist Church Davidson, North Carolina 28036 Full Time , On-Site
- Participates in the management and maintenance of the church's financial and membership databases, working collaboratively with staff to ensure data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and system integrity
- Manages year-end financial reporting, including audits and preparation of financial statements
- Develops and implements internal controls to protect the church's financial assets
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including filing tax returns and maintaining nonprofit status
- Oversees stewardship programs, including tithing, donations, and other financial contributions Supervises the financial assistant(s) or accounting team members (if applicable) Trains and provides guidance to church staff and volunteers on financial policies and procedures Provides leadership in fundraising efforts and assists in managing capital campaigns as necessary Attends staff meetings and contributes to church-wide planning and initiatives • Reports on the progress, growth, and needs to the
Senior Pastor and Finance Committee Essential Functions :
- Manages all aspects of the church's financial operations including payroll, employee benefits, insurance, and reporting
- Analyzes and presents financial reports, coordinates annual audits, and works with ministry leaders to ensure financial needs and requirements are met
