Controller

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will oversee all financial operations. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement efficient accounting systems, processes, and procedures to support organizational growth. Lead the transition of financial operations from outsourced services to an in-house model. Build and mentor a high-performing finance team by hiring and training additional staff as needed. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Collaborate with leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making. Maintain compliance with financial regulations and ensure proper documentation and controls are in place. Leverage software tools such as Yardi and QuickBooks to streamline financial operations. Provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Foster a positive and detail-oriented workplace culture among a small, dynamic team. A minimum of 5 years and up to 15 years of relevant experience in financial management or a similar role. Proven ability to design and implement accounting systems and processes. Proficiency in financial software, including Yardi and QuickBooks. Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of mentoring staff. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and growing organization. High level of professionalism and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
