Summary The Controller is responsible for providing leadership and coordination of all accounting operations in support of multiple business lines. This role partners closely with leaders of all departments collaborating in support of business and customer needs while maintaining strong financial systems that are scalable. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong technical accounting expertise, experience managing complex revenue models, and a continuous improvement mindset. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. A day in the life of a Controller at Fox may include: Leading all accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting Support. Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing accounting team while fostering accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration. Establishing departmental and individual goals, monitoring progress, and providing ongoing feedback to support achievement of business objectives and professional development. Ensuring timely and accurate monthly and annual financial close, while improving close efficiency and reporting timelines. Producing GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Maintaining accounting policies and a strong internal control environment to ensure consistency across all business units, while continuously improving accounting controls and documentation. Analyze financial results and explain significant variances. Overseeing supplier revenue and expense auditing procedures to ensure accurate revenue and expense streams. Overseeing customer billing and financial components of contracts with auditing processes to ensure accurate revenue streams. Ensuring revenue recognition complies with applicable accounting standards and accurately reflects complex supplier agreements. Coordinating and supporting annual financial statement audits, while reviewing and maintaining audit controls and procedures related to key revenue streams, including customer transaction fees. Oversee compliance with sales/use tax and other regulatory filings. Partnering cross-functionally with Human Resources, IT, Accounting/Finance, and department leaders throughout the organization to support payroll operations, financial systems, and enterprise-wide financial initiatives. Monitor cash flow and liquidity. Oversee daily cash positioning/treasury management. Review and monitor reconciliations for controls and financial statement accuracy. Enhance automation within accounting processes. Improve close efficiency and reporting timelines. Optimize integrations between booking platforms, ERP, CRM, and reporting systems. Continuously assess and optimize the accounting team structure to meet current and future organizational needs, develop succession plans for key roles, and implement development plans that promote associate engagement and career progression. Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement. Enhancing the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities This opportunity might be for you if you have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (strongly preferred). 10+ years of progressive accounting experience. 5+ years leading accounting teams. Experience in a multi-entity or multi-division organization. Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and complex accounting areas, economic principles, and auditing practices and principles. Project management skills and experience. Strong attention to setting up, monitoring and adhering to controls and procedures. Proven results in automating processes, improving efficiency and accuracy. Strategically oriented; ability to collaborate. Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to balance customization and standardization for scalable procedures and resource management. Comfortable dealing with highly complex situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong knowledge and demonstrated proficiency of all Microsoft Office applications with advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
