Job Title:
Electrical Foreman Job Description The Electrical Foreman oversees and participates in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems on industrial and large-scale commercial projects. This role combines hands-on electrical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial and large-scale commercial environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine project details, specifications, and material needs. Act as a working foreman, performing hands-on electrical tasks as needed to support project timelines and quality standards. Lead and support journeymen and apprentices by providing guidance, direction, and on-the-job training. Coordinate daily with other trades to ensure efficient project sequencing and minimize delays or conflicts. Plan, organize, and monitor daily work activities to keep projects running efficiently and on schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. Order and manage materials and supplies to ensure crews have the resources needed to complete work effectively. Conduct and participate in daily meetings to review project status, progress, safety issues, and upcoming work. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety procedures and addressing hazards immediately. Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding project needs, changes, and issues. Essential Skills Valid journeyman or master electrician license, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade. Proven experience in the industrial electrical field, including work on large-scale commercial or industrial projects. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. In-depth knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures. Demonstrated experience leading or supervising electrical crews in an industrial or construction setting. Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical issues efficiently and safely. Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, other trades, and project stakeholders. Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under time constraints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience acting as a working foreman, balancing leadership duties with hands-on electrical work. Experience in industrial or large-scale commercial construction projects across multiple locations. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to keep multiple aspects of a project running smoothly. Experience mentoring and supporting journeymen and apprentices in a field environment. Comfort collaborating closely with other trades to coordinate work and resolve field issues. Strong attention to detail in ordering materials and verifying that supplies meet project specifications. Capability to lead or participate in daily project meetings focused on status updates, progress tracking, and safety topics. Why Work Here? Daily routines typically include field work, on-site planning, and participation in project meetings focused on progress and safety. Work hours generally align with standard construction schedules and may vary depending on project needs and deadlines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newton, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
