Job Description

We are looking for a professional, outgoing, leadership minding person to join our Management team. Open availability is required. This is a salary position with bonus potential. We are a Breakfast and Lunch restaurant so the hours are amazing as we close daily at 2:30pm. Area ManagersSummary:
Responsible for maintaining high quality services, menu/beverage qualityand ensuring customer satisfaction by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Oversees daily restaurant operations by performing inspections to maintainsanitation standards to meet health department specifications and to provideinstruction as needed.
  • 2. Monitors food quality, inventory and labor expense to ensure conformity to foodand labor cost guidelines.
  • 3. Maintains sufficient inventory of all food, beverage items and related suppliesand orders as needed.
  • 4. Professionally and effectively supervises day-to-day operations of direct reportsto ensure efficient process, accountability, and superior customer service in everyinteraction.
  • 5. Maintain recipe specifications within quality standards for all menu items.
  • 6. Facilitates restaurant meetings as well as attends management meetings to staycurrent with restaurant issues.
  • 7. Circulates through restaurant to ensure smooth operations by troubleshooting,delegating duties and ensuring completion of opening side work.
  • 8. Ensures customer orders are filled to specifications in a timely manner.
  • 9. Accommodates special needs of customers and communicates needs to diningroom staff.
  • 10. Books and oversees the preparation of all large parties, and special functions.
  • 11. Resolves customer and/or employee problems or complaints in a diplomatic andtimely manner.
  • 12. Notifies ownership of maintenance needs and arranges for repairs as directed.
  • 13. Initiates and oversees in-house promotions for the restaurant.
  • 14. Controls and counts all charge and cash purchases at the end of each mealperiod or business day.
  • 15. Drives between restaurant locations as needed to oversee operations.

  • 17. Responsible for contact with media, regulators, officials and outside contracts ifupper management is unavailable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages one subordinate supervisor who supervise a total of 10-15 employees. Isresponsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carriesout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies andapplicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding anddisciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the generalpublic.
Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference,and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to applyconcepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of wordprocessing software, spreadsheet software, accounting software, inventory software,payroll systems, internet software and human resource systems.
Education/Experience:
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.
