An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

As a niche practice for couples, we have made a commitment to provide the best marriage counseling possible to all of our clients. Focused on empowering our therapists, Positive Steps handles the distractions (e.g., client billing, scheduling, phone answering, etc.), so our therapists can concentrate on being the best therapists they can be. ```

Duties:

Provide marriage/couples counseling to clients
Demonstrate continuous professional development
Conduct objective and subjective assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans
Utilize various therapeutic methods such as Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Developmental Model
Assist clients in healing past hurts, developing skills, and adopting strategies for improving their relationships
Document client progress and treatment outcomes in client records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in therapy and counseling ```

Requirements:

```

Master's degree
Valid Florida Licensed Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW)
Be proficient in assessing client needs and developing treatment plans
Be committed to continuous improvement of knowledge, skills, and abilities as a therapist
Have a strong sense of self and the self-confidence to drive therapeutic results with high-functioning adult clients
