Job Description

Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II at Northwest Community Hospital, part of Endeavor Health locted in Arlington Heights, IL. Endeavor Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system ranked as a Top 15 Teaching Hospital. Previous experience with patient telemetry, patient monitoring systems, ventilators, CMMS Systems, Troubleshooting, Calibrations/Testing, Infusion Pumps/PCA Pumps/ Feeding pumps knowledge, Test Equipment Knowledge is strongly preferred. About the job Play a hands-on role in supporting patient care by ensuring medical equipment operates safely, accurately, and efficiently. The role of an individual contributor within the organization focuses on completing specific tasks and projects; contributing directly through their skills and expertise. Performs specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, however may collaborate with a team.
Pay Range:
$34.12 per hour - $44.16 per hour What's in it for you Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure reliable patient care across clinical settings. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain compliance. Uphold regulatory standards and promote a safety-first environment, supporting audits and remediation efforts. Maintain accurate service records, analyze data trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve technical issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Mentor and train team members to enhance technical skills and overall service quality. What you'll bring Technical skills and hands-on experience with medical equipment repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and coordinate service operations efficiently. A customer-focused mindset with the skillset to communicate effectively and build trust with clinical staff and team members. Problem-solving resourcefulness and the skills to develop practical solutions in fast-paced, real-time environments. A collaborative spirit and willingness to mentor or be mentored, supporting continuous learning and team development.
Requirements Education Requirement:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
