Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. In this vital role, you will support dentists with chairside assistance, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for procedures in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with medical documentation standards. Monitor vital signs and assist in patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout their visit. Process dental instruments efficiently using aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments via patient management software, and managing patient flow for optimal clinic efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology. Proficiency in dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, dental x-ray techniques, and infection prevention management. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with patient management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and medical terminology related to dental care. Ability to accurately take vital signs and operate dental equipment safely while maintaining clinical confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude toward patient care and teamwork.
