Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented RDA / Front Desk Business Assistant to join our vibrant dental practice. This dual role combines clinical responsibilities with front desk management, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, possess strong organizational skills, and have a solid understanding of dental procedures and administrative processes. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software. Assist the dental team with chairside procedures, including providing support during pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and dental safety protocols. Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records in EMR systems such as Open Dental. Handle front desk duties such as answering phones, managing patient flow, processing payments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and ensure compliance with healthcare infection control standards at all times. Experience Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration/license —
REQUIRED
Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially in general dentistry settings. Proficiency with EMR systems like Open Dental is essential for managing patient records efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention practices is required. Familiarity with dental radiography including X-ray techniques and 3D scanner operation is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical documentation, medical terminology, and healthcare infection control policies is necessary to ensure compliance. Experience with dental assisting tasks such as four-handed dentistry, chairside assisting, and handling dental instruments will set you apart. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care are vital for success in this role. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
