HCA Solutions is seeking a Dental Hygienist at the Delaware Dept of Health and Social Services in the state of Delaware. Work locations Services will be provided through portable dental programs in schools across the state. Assignments will primarily be within the candidate's home county but may extend to neighboring counties based on program needs. Hours Daily assignments will range from 4-6 hours, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Job Description The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive oral health services through programs administered by the Delaware Division of Public Health, Bureau of Oral Health and Dental Services. Program responsibilities may include participation in the Kindergarten Oral Health Screening Program (KOHSP) , which provides oral health screenings for kindergarten students as required by Delaware law, and the Delaware Smile Check portable dental program, which provides dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications, oral health education, and case management services in collaboration with community partners to improve access to oral health care and address barriers to treatment. Dental hygienists may also provide services in school-based wellness clinics, including dental prophylaxis, silver diamine fluoride (SDF) applications, and dental sealants. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient dental records, preparing and maintaining portable dental equipment and supplies, following established infection prevention and control protocols, and performing other duties necessary to support Bureau programs and community-based oral health services. Education and Experience Must be a licensed Dental Hygienist in the State of Delaware Must have at least 1 year of experience Maintain current CPR certification in accordance with the American Red Cross or the
