Led by Dr. Yaz Alkhawam, our practice builds on a longstanding history of serving the South Amboy community while introducing modern technology and a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to dentistry. We are an established practice in an exciting transition — upgrading our systems and technology while maintaining the trust and relationships that have made this practice a community cornerstone for over 80 years. You are stepping into a full, active hygiene schedule with patients who already know and value great preventive care. What you will do Provide preventive and periodontal care including cleanings, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance as appropriate Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations (D0150/D0180) in collaboration with Dr. Yaz for patients due for re-evaluation Review medical and dental histories, complete periodontal charting, and maintain accurate patient records Take diagnostic radiographs within your authorized scope of practice Partner with Dr. Yaz to identify patient needs and support individualized treatment plans Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health in a clear, supportive, judgment-free way Help anxious patients feel comfortable throughout their visits Follow infection-control and sterilization protocols Collaborate with the clinical and front desk teams to support a smooth patient experience Participate in team meetings and training as we introduce new technology and improve our processes What we are looking for Active New Jersey Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing (required) Current CPR/BLS certification (required) Ability to administer local anesthesia, with the required New Jersey authorization and dentist supervision, to support patient comfort during treatment.
