Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain patient oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear communication. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, supporting dental assisting activities efficiently. Collaborate with the dental team including receptionists and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices relevant to dental care documentation. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs measurement and medical documentation accuracy. Experience supporting diverse dental specialties such as orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, or periodontics is a plus. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude toward patient care and team collaboration.
