Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implant placements. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical history, diagnosing dental conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans aligned with healthcare diagnosis standards. Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Operate dental equipment and utilize medical imaging techniques such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their oral health status, treatment procedures, and post-treatment care instructions. Ensure all procedures meet the highest standards of infection control and adhere to OSHA guidelines for safety and sanitation. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices, including new techniques in endodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and dental implants. Qualifications Valid state license to practice dentistry as an Associate General Dentist. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, patient care, and medical documentation. Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and record keeping. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA. Hands-on experience with dental fabrication techniques and medical imaging tools. Ability to perform complex procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implant placement. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient education and engagement. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within a team using four-handed dentistry methods. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations related to dental practice is preferred.
