Responsibilities Perform a wide range of general dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, taking diagnostic images, and performing clinical examinations. Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain treatment plans, procedures, and post-treatment care to patients. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including the use of dental fabrication tools and medical imaging equipment. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics). Ability to perform complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Demonstrated commitment to patient care through compassionate communication and attentive service. Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment.
