Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans and procedures clearly to patients and team members. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation of all treatments. Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during procedures. Use dental office software, Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and managing patient information efficiently. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote ongoing dental health. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with a solid understanding of general dentistry practices. Demonstrated proficiency in dental diagnosis, medical terminology, and clinical procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and implant placement. Familiarity with Dentrix (for practice management). Knowledge of infection control standards aligned with OSHA guidelines and HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information. Ability to communicate effectively with clients about treatment plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
