Job Description
River Hospital is seeking a Dietary Aide/Cook to join our Dietary team working full-time. Pay is based on years of relevant healthcare dietary experience and education. Job Purpose To prepare, service and deliver food to patients, visitors and employees as directed. Responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for the preparation, servicing and delivery of food products. Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent. One (1) year institutional experience as a cook or assistant cook preferred. General knowledge of food preparation, portion serving and Knowledge of Special Diets. It is the employee's responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
