Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to residents in our facility. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that residents receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while promoting a positive dining experience. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences. Ensure all food is handled, prepared, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Support the dietary department by bussing tables and cleaning up after meals. Collaborate with nursing staff to understand residents' dietary restrictions and preferences. Participate in meal planning and preparation under the guidance of culinary staff. Uphold high standards of customer service while interacting with residents during meal times. Skills Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is preferred. Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices. Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames. Familiarity with dietary department operations and food service protocols. Excellent customer service skills to ensure resident satisfaction during meal service. Proficiency in food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in the food industry is advantageous.
