Temporary coverage Berkshire Center is committed to improving our patients' quality of life and autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team of skilled healthcare professionals at our skilled nursing facility in West Babylon.
Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Meet with new admissions to review dietary options and preferences. Provide nutritional care for residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings to review and adjust residents' needs as they pertain to their care plans. Assess nutritional needs and identify nutrient requirements according to specific resident needs, including tube feeding and bariatric residents. Identify the need for nutritional supplementation and ensure appropriate diet consistency. Update diet orders and menu changes in computer menu software daily. Monitor resident meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed. Collaborate with nursing, medical, dietary, and other departments to ensure residents receive appropriate nutritional care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements:
Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) . Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines. Computer literacy and proficiency with SigmaCare and Geri Menu systems preferred. Long-term care experience preferred. Up-to-date
COVID-19
vaccinations. This is a temporary position.
Pay:
$41.00 per hour
